The other day we were talking about traditions that take place in our household in December.
Joe shared about his sister's birthdays.
Kylie shared about celebrating Hannukah.
We heard about bird nests in Christmas trees and other fun things we do in December to celebrate.
Here are my two dogs, Tucker & Copper, in front of my tree last year! |
In my family we have a few December Traditions. We always have a big "Trim the Tree" Party where family and friends come over for dinner and then to help us decorate the Christmas Tree. We always get new Christmas Pajamas on Christmas Eve and stay in them ALL DAY LONG on Christmas Day! We also celebrate my brother, Dylan's birthday! This year we will be in Disney World on his birthday in his favorite park- Animal Kingdom. I can't wait!

DeleteOne of my Christmas traditions is opening all of our presents on Christmas Eve. This is a German Christmas tradition we got from my Grandma Oma she is from Germany. So, we continued the tradition. when we wake up on Christmas Eve morning we get our stocking and see what we got. In December we always bake some Christmas cookies and make chocolates. We usually stay in our pajamas all day. We decorate our Christmas tree in December. Ever year me and my sister and our parents go to a store and buy things for kids that don't have a lot. We put them in boxes and drop them off at a church that sends them to the kids.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that you and your family spread some Christmas cheer to those who are less fortunate. It is a great way to celebrate the holidays. It is also great that you keep your Oma's tradition alive!
